Day 01: Arrival Delhi – Welcome to India.

Your driver welcomes you at the airport you and then you will be transferred to the hotel in a private car. Rest & overnight in Delhi.

 

Day 02: Delhi: Old & New

In the first half we visit the Ancient parts of Delhi covering the Red Fort, Jama Masjid & Chandni Chowk.

We drive towards Connaught place – the blooming heart of New Delhi via Raj Ghat. The second half takes you through the modern Delhi covering the India Gate, President House and Sansad Bhavan. Your driver and guide can recommend you a restaurant for the evening. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 03 : Delhi – Mandawa

Morning drive to Mandawa (5 hour drive) . Arrive Mandawa and check in at hotel. Visit of the Shekhawati Havelis. Evening free for independent activities and night at the hotel.

 

Day 04 : Mandawa – Bikaner

Morning drive to Bikaner (4 hour). Afternoon proceed for the sightseeing tour of Bikaner. Bikaner , the royal fortified city has a timeless appeal. Lying in the north of the desert state, the city is dotted with many sand dunes.

You will be visiting the city’s busy streets and of course the Junagarh Fort from the 15th century.
We can also pay a visit to the Rat Temple located 30 km south of Bikaner !

Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 05 : Bikaner – Jaisalmer

Morning drive to Jaisalmer (6 hour). In the afternoon sightseeing tour of the Sonar Fort, the golden fort of India and havelis.
At the end of the day your guide will take you to the wonderful Bada Bagh Cenotaph at sunset.

 

Day 06 : In Jaisalmer

The morning is free. In the afternoon your driver will drive you to Kuri village located in the Thar desert. A camel awaits you for a memorable ride in the sand dunes of the desert ! For dinner a typical buffet awaits you in the village with traditional dances and music.
At night you can sleep under the stars on the desert or under a tent. No worries : there are no scorpions !

 

Day 07 : Jaisalmer – Jodhpur

Morning drive to Jodhpur, the blue city (4 hour drive). Afternoon proceed for the sightseeing tour of Jodhpur . Jodhpur set at the edge of the Thar Desert, the imperial city of Jodhpur echoes with tales of antiquity in the emptiness of the desert.

You can not miss the majestic Mehrangarh Fort above the city.

 

Day 08 : Jodhpur – Mount Abu

Rajasthan’s only hill station is perched at an altitude of 1200 metres. Visit the famous Delwara Jain temples and enjoy the exquisite carving of the temples dating back to the 11th century. The evening is free.

Day 09: Udaipur

Morning proceed for sightseeing tour of Udaipur. Drive around the Fatehsagar Lake. Visit the Jagdish Temple, the largest and most venerated temple of Udaipur. Visit the “Garden of Maidens” Sahelion-Ki-Bari”, consisting of an ornamental pool with delicately carved chhatries of black and white marble and soft stone. Also visit the Maharana’s city palace, an imposing edifice of granite and marble.

It is also possible to do a cooking class in this city. Tell you driver and he will arrange everything for you !

Afternoon free . Overnight will be at Hotel.

 

Day 10: Udaipur – Pushkar (or Bundi)

We drive for 4 hours to arrive to Pushkar. The sacred city is well-known for its peaceful lake and Brahma temple. If it is the month of October/November then you are lucky to enjoy the world famous cattle fair of Pushkar.

You can Chose if you want to go to Bundi as well, the city is famous for its old abandoned fort that you can visit.

Day 11: Pushkar (or bundi)

Rest day in Pushkar, visit the small shops anf the Brama temple. In november the big camel market takes place in the city.

 

 

Day 11: Pushkar (or Bundi) – Samode

After Breakfast you will be departing for Samode Palace. Samode is a small village near Jaipur and is well-known for its charming palace. It is now converted into a heritage hotel. You can also do a camel ride through the Samode village. At night the hotel organizes a musical evening of folk dances and songs performed by local artists.

Day 12 : Samode – Jaipur

Morning drive to Jaipur (approx. 3 hours).

We can split the visit of the city between this day and the 7th day. 

What is not to miss in Jaipur:  Amber fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, the astronomical observatory, City Palace, Monkey temple and of course the Wind palace Hawa Mahal.
Evening to explore Markets of Pink City.

 

Day 13 : Jaipur

Depending of what you have seen the day before, morning excursion to Amber Fort passing by the Water Palace. YOu can go up the fort by elephant. The rest of the day is free in the city centre.

 

 

Day 14: Jaipur – Agra

Morning drive to Agra (approx. 4 – 5 hours).

Enroute visiting FATEHPUR SIKRI -the deserted red Sandstone City. In Agra visit of the city as you like : The Baby Taj (Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb), Agra Fort.

 

Day 15: Agra – Delhi

Today you wake up early not to miss the sunrise above the Taj Mahal. Your guide will take care of the tickets for you and take you to the entrance.
Enjoy one of the universally admired masterpieces of the heritage of humanity !

In the afternoon your driver will drive you back to Delhi.
